Heater Core Lines

I am installing an S50 in my E30 M3 and want to know if the solenoids that are right before the lines that go into the firewall are necessary. Also, the plug must be on the body for that solenoid, how would I go about wiring that if indeed it is needed? Thanks a lot!

Solinoid? I think you mean the check valve, and yes.

Thanks for the quick reply. Now for the wiring, I can pull the plug off of my donor e36 tomorrow. I think its a 3 prong harness. Any idea on how to wire that up?
