    Airbox themostat

It gets cold up here and there are times Ill still drive my car before it snows in 30 degree or less weather. My car is a turbo m52 obd1 but id like to retain that airbox thermostat. Since i wont have an airbox can I just mount it in the engine bay somewhere and let it read underhood temps and do its thing?? I know I can delete it and maybe I should but my last swap car ran like shit when really cold out. and on that topic, does anyone have one of these thermostats laying around they will sell??

exactly the little thermostat in the airbox with coolant lines running to it. I wont drive this in the winter but some seasons we see 20 degree days before snow so Id like to be able to drive it in those conditions. My first s52 car ran like shit at 30 degrees until it warmed up .. not sure if that was because i deleted all that shit or what

Just throw it in the intake tube before the turbo.

You can buy block heaters by diameter at most auto parts stores, thats where I got mine. I have my TB heater valve (the thing you're talking about) sitting by my intake. Works fine.
