    Cooler coolant thermostat?

I'm doing a overhaul on my S50. It will go in my E30...

I was thinking to go with a bimmerworld 71degC thermostat. Is there any downside to this mod?

    Thanks!

    Your heat may suck.

    We usually stick with 80C.

      Original is 88 or 92degC... So I should go with a 80?

The 80*C thermostat is the e30 M20 stock thermostat.

cars run better with the 80. only use the 88 or 92 if you get emissions checked. cheers, jason

I wont get emission checked. I will go with a 80C.

the part # would be: 11-53-1-466-174-80

According to the seal diameter, it would fit the S50
