        Dave,
I came from a S52 transplant. I hope this will be "the one" :)

More to come when I get her home later this week. Terry Sayther has done a great job with the swap. Very detail oriented. Anyone in Texas should not hesitate contacting them down in Austin. Kevin has done a steller job with the new interior. It looks and feels better than some new BMW's.

        Sonny,
Thanks again for the help with getting this beast accross the pond :)
        Very good seller!!

That's pretty darn quiet at idle! Are you using the two brake master cylinders linked together for your stopping bits?

            Congrats!

Wow, looks great! I would love to check this car out sometime. Where in DFW are you located? Should be interesting to see what you think coming from the s52.

Good point, that IS quiet. Catalysts? I REALLY need to get this right, my old car was audible from 2.3 miles away, with wooded portions/housing in between.

It was a touch... excessive. WOT in tunnels was life altering. :)

Hehe, I was kind of shocked when he revved it because I thought it just stalled out.

You should post of a video of this life altering experience before you change over to something more reasonable!

I'd love to, but I broke my toy already. :(

Hopefully I actually get around to finishing it's reincarnation before 2015.

That engine makes for a hell of an E30. I coupled mine with the JB Racing M20 flywheel and GroupN DME. An 8.5lb flywheel on an ITB beast like that practically reads your mind before your foot hits the throttle. And I have a million pounds of cabrio to move too. In a lighter hardtop?

I can't wait to hear the comparison to the S52.

(Edit) Here's a shot of my exhaust... sort of. http://r3vlimited.com/board/showpost...postcount=1045 All I had was two 3.5" glasspacks welded together, with some flanges I welded up to bolt onto the headers. All that really accomplished was "less loud", and it could ONLY be heard from 2.3 mi away...

                        :giggle:

My m50 has pretty decent throttle response but I'd kill for that! 2015 isn't that long...whats the hold up?!

                          Terry Sayther

Does Terry still have that M1 parked around back under a tarp?

Jeez. It must have been... loud. :p

I'm glad you walked away from that.

Quite loud. That engine certainly has some volume to it, it even got erik black flagged with the muffler I was planning on ( http://r3vlimited.com/board/showpost...&postcount=172 ) So much for that good idea.

I'm glad too, who says verts need rollbars? :nice: That was a pretty slow speed roll. I fell asleep, went off the road and it "toppled" more than "rolled" over. Surprisingly, it didn't mess it up too badly. The top+frame is still going strong on an E30 today in fact. It just takes three people to close it.
