Is it a 413 DME? Could still be EWS. Sounds like it with described conditions.

Ok- so if it is EWS what are the fixes? Don't say new ecu please...

If it ran with one chip and not the other, the chip is either wrong or installed backwards.

We've made sure the notch was the same both times.

When you first started it. Did it stay on?

When I started it, yes it ran. But like I said now it won't start. If its an EWS issue; what does that mean?

Red label 413? There are others that have a red label.

Who did the wiring or did you buy an adapter?

Sorry- I bought a used obd1 harness and I am using a TREEHOUSE adapter.

It is the Red label non EWS. 21.5 injector. and throttle body is 3 " to 3.5".

what dme are you running? sounds like a ews problem

99 S52 Running OBD1 (91 E30 m3 chassis)

The car did start and now only turns but won't start.

Here is what we've tried:

DME ECU with and without TMS chip on board. It started without the TMS chip.
All Grounds checked.
Scanner shows all sensors are operating; the cranshaft pos. sensor is working.
We are NOT getting Spark or Injection Pulse.
Getting fuel and there is (5 gallons in the tank).

When I did get it started I didn't have the MAF hooked up; I don't know if that affects anything.

help brainstorming?? Please.
