help: starter not engaging flywheel, window switches on with key off

Now need help with fuel. No fuel to supply rail.

Here are some specs before i ask my question:
    obd1 m52
    e30 325 starter
    e30 325 flywheel
    getrag 260
i ran power from battery post to starter
i have a single power cable connecting alternator to starter
yellow/black wire from e36 wire harness to ground on starter
black/green wire from e36 wire harness to power post on starter

    1. When the key is out of the car, or key in the car in the off position, my windows are powered, and my brake lining switch is on.
When key is in on position, windows are off but dash will light up, stereo will work etc.
When i turn the key to the start position, everything cuts off as it should and starter spins.

Is the green/black wire from the e36 harness on the wrong position (currently on the positive starter post)

    2. When i try to start the car, the starter spins but does not engage the flywheel. It spins fast as hell but doest seem to be grinding. I tried tapping it with a hammer but didnt beat the shit out of it.
The starter worked great with my m20/getrag260 set up. I was under the impression that I should use the starter since im using the e30 flywheel and transmission.

    Any suggestions would really help!!
FIXED!!! black/green wire to starter t30h. Black/yellow wire to starter t50.

Is the motor spinning over at all?
Did you put the shim plate back in between the trans and motor?
Did you remove any of the pullys off the front of the motor and use the stock bolts?
Did you shave the back of the flywheel or grind down the oil pan for the back of the pan to clear the flywheel?

checkin what you told me now mike.
The motor will not turn over by hand so i will check the clearance of the oilpan bolts and the flywheel.

havent addressed the window power issue

          mike is the man.
flywheel was stuck on the 2 back oil pan bolts.
Needed to shave down the oil pan and the heads of the bolts down to the studs.

Wont be able to work on the car till later this week, hopefully i will figure out the little electrical things then.

            window problem fixed!
starter now works and motor turns over great.

Now i am not getting any fuel. Checked to make sure the lines are correct but didnt have a voltmeter around to check to see if fuel pump is getting power.
