Ebay s50 motors

Anybody had any experience with ebay s50 motor and transmissions, or m50 motor from ebay? Or any other place you'd recommend finding an s50 for a decent price?

It's iffy at best buying engines off of ebay unless they offer a warranty. Better finding one on the forums or CL

Find yourself a reputable guy on here or bimmerforums that has a parts car. I part out cars too but no S50s right now, may have a S52 in a couple days with fairly low miles.

bought my s52 with driveshaft tranny and all electronics for around $2600 (inc shipping) two.5 years ago. It ran for two years until the oil pump nut backed out. I'm rebuilding at the moment.
