dash temp gauge, check light faults

hello everyone, I just bought a m50b25nv swapped e30 and with that, i have found few flaws with the swap.

1.) the temp gauge dpoesnt work
2.) half of the check lights don't show correctly
    3.) the OBC doesn't work

do I have to change sensors, splice wires..? I'd just like to know whereto start. vie been dealing with m20s forever, but m50s are a new cup of cool-aid!

    any help or pointers appreciated.

    1) m50 will have a place for both temp sensors(DME, Gauge). PO could have used to wrong sensor for the gauge. Should be the brown top e30 1 prong sensor.

    2) Is way too vague for anyone to help you

I'll check the sensor, who knows if its even hooked up

mainly oil level light on the check panel bothers me, not sure what I can expect on that one since that wire is in the M50 harness and again, Im not familiar with it yet.

the others, like coolant level, probably just a bad sensor and I can figure out in a few days.

      thanks!

should I be running an E30 temp sender or the E34 sender? I would imagine I have the harness plug for the E34 sender, maybe its not wired properly?

any way to just directly wire the sender to the dash gauge?

open up the cluster and behind the temp gauge there is a small nut.if it is missing, replace it and it should work like a charm. i just fix mine on my 318.
