    S50/E30 exhaust questions

    1. How many inches is the e30 piping?
    2. How much bigger is the e36 piping ?
    3. I know some of used the S50 headers, e30 cat and piping and made a custom downpipe. How much would it cost to make a custom downpipe?
    4. Will a E36 aftermarket catback exhaust work with our rear valence? And how much modification would be needed? I know the brackets have to be cut off the e36 exhaust.....

Thanks for your help in advance

    3. i found the s50/m50 cast header a bit difficult to work with. i found it simpler to use the tube headers off the m52/s52. i cut the headers, rotated the flange and then welded with a sleve over cut. header length stayed the same, but the flange was rotated down.
    4. the first time i used the e36m3 rear muffler.....wont do that again. the tips need to be cut and welded on an angle to match the e30 rear apron (for my 89.) all the mid pipes were custom bent.

I did the same as Jason89i with cutting and rotating the front section of obdII M3 header, fits much better then. Would probably cost you a couple hundred bucks at a muffler shop to have downpipes made cause of the angles and being dual piping.
