Power steering lines and fluid Q's.

    1. M52B28 with a 95 325is steering rack with all the lines. I tried test fitting them and didn't fit really at all. What lines is everyone else running?

    2. Coolant, is it totally worth it to use the BMW stuff or would say regular brand name green stuff work?

    3. Power steering fluid, AFT 1 how many quarts? Necessary to run a certain brand?

    4. Rear end, 90w GL5 is what I have been told. Again necessary to run a certain brand? Also how much?

Sorry about grammer if there are errors. My wisdom teeth were pulled out and I'm not sober. :D

    1. S52B32 with Z3 1.9L rack here...I used custom lines (from Parker Hoses) for the rack -> reservoir and pump -> rack. I remember reading that there were other options like reusing and bending the factory lines, but the factory return lines originally used with these racks are pretty expensive. I reused the reservoir -> pump line that came with the S52 (had to cut it a bit)

    2. I've always used the BMW stuff...At that price point, why skimp? If I remember correctly, there were some specific anti-corrosion properties in that fluid

    3. I ended up using 2 quarts in mine. Doesn't matter what brand you run.

    4. Just use what's spec'ed for your diff. I have a 3.73LSD so I ended up using 75W-90 Redline Gear Oil (not the NS version)
