    RevShift 24v swap mounts?

Anyone using these? I've done some searching on here and e30tech and haven't come up with anything. Says they have an internal interlock thingamajig to keep your motor from exiting your car if they break. I'm pulling the trigger on an 80a set tonight(engine and trans mounts). I hope the lack of information is because they are a somewhat new product, not because its a widely known fact that they suck or that I'm about to get ripped off. Fingers crossed.....

Buy them and tell us how you like them. I've never seen those.

Thats the plan. I just started collecting parts for the swap and my car is a dd so it may be awhile before I can give my opinion on them. I'll definitely be using heat shields as I don't want them to suffer the same fate of all the IE poly mounts that I see on the board.

I bought some from the site (didn't do the e30tech GB since I already had trans mounts) and they look pretty solid. I don't have them in the car yet, but I have also been waiting to hear from someone who has run them. There aren't a whole lot of choices for aftermarket swap mounts, and these seemed to be the best for the price.

Are the two mounting surfaces parallel, or did they design it with an angle?

Wouldn't it be kinda nice if they designed a "kit" that simply bolted a 24V motor on a G260 and simply fit the E30 chassis?

I went with the White trans mount as I would prefer stock rubber mounts, but I bet 80% of the guys doing this swap would want urethane mounts.

Now I wanna feel a 24V motor on urethane mounts! I did drive a M20 on urethane, no freaking way would I tolerate that buzzing...

Also want to know if there angled like the AKG swap mounts.

Do you mean, are the studs offset? They are the same configuration as the E28 mounts everyone uses.

No, the surface of the mount. The AKG mounts are angled to accomodate the slight angle of the mount arms on the M/S50 engines. I love my AKG mounts. Engine doesn't move and they did not increase the vibration that much. Interested to see how these work though as they are half the price. I do like that the AKGs have more surface for the load however.

No, I'm asking if the top and bottom surfaces (the surfaces that have the studs) are parallel or not.

Oh, I see now. These don't have an angle like that; I didn't realize the AKG mounts did........makes sense now that I think about it, though.

So these are basically just urethane e28 mounts then, and not designed specifically for a 24v e30.
They'll still work, but not ideal.

Pretty much. The only real difference between the swap mounts and the stock-type E30 ones seems to be height and stud location. Revshift claims that they are unbreakable, but since these mounts haven't been on the market that long, nobody's really had the chance to try. :)

We have been making poly mounts for Corvettes, Nissans, and Toyotas for years but we just added the BMW mounts to our catalog this year. A lot of E30 and E36 guys are running our mounts now and we have not had a single complaint so far.
