what control arm bushings with raceland headers on 24v e30?

    what control arm bushings with raceland headers on 24v e30?

    I'm wondering if there are clearance issues regarding raceland longtube headers and the oem/e30 m3 control arm bushings. I dont have the engine/exhaust in the car yet and I'm wondering if I'll need to worry about the CABs or just the swaybar.

    I ran into the same problem. You need to use treehouse racing eyeball control arms with 4pc racelands headers. Even with that the clearence is tight.

      4 piece? Mine are two piece, and yes you need the treehouse eyeball arms, I had much more trouble with my swaybar myself, spacing it as far down as possible still wasn't enough I still had to bash in one of the tubes to make it fit.

        how far did you space the swaybar down? i have read somebody else say that when the suspension is loaded the swaybar pivots down and gives clearance. if it only touches with the car raised up im not too worried about it.

          u need put a 1/8 spacer on the passenger side motor mount.. it will clear.

              Yeah but it doesn't pivot alot.

              Nope those are the same ones I have.

              I had to drill out the holes on the header flanges on mine to get them to go on the header studs, I sincerely hope you don't have to as well, that is some hard fucking stainless steel.

                Fantasticles. I already mounted the headers to my M52 and it was tight, but all the studs fit. I'm not a fan of the jigs on top of each header tube though...might try to figure a way to cut them off and clean them up. I was almost thinking of getting them Jet-Hot coated, just to give it a shot. Any ideas?

                  Well you got a good set then. If you have a TIG welder just buzz those ugly fucking air injection fittings off and weld 'em shut. Just make sure the weld doesn't obstruct the inside of the primary too much.

                  it isn't a bad idea to fill in an smooth out the insides of the primaries where they'e welded onto the header flange too since they look kind of fugly.
