Make sure the stud is going in the correct hole as per the swap write up.

make sure that the RF mounting bracket is not upside down.
Don't panic. There may be a part of the drivetrain that is hitting the chassis and preventing the engine from lining up.
I used AKG swap mounts, checked that all was kosher, dropped the DT in, then about hit the roof when it looked like the holes in the mounts were way off matching the brackets.:D

Yes the mounts need a little work to align sometimes. My eBay headers hit the trans tunnel and made it not align until I modified the headers.

the mounts are to be installed backward.

and it wont be a direct easy slip on...you gotta get jiggy with it and keep them loose as you mount the engine. a 2x4 helped me get the engine on the mounts!!!

As its been stated, the mounts will APPEAR to be as though they line up nowhere near where they need to be. I believe I lowered the drivers side first, and with the mounts still loose I was able to sway the engine to the passenger side enough to get the other mount seated under the arm. This is while having the engine suspended on an engine hoist, not a jack.

Play with it. There isn't a quaint method to it. After switching from my AKG hexagonal mounts to solid aluminum ones I remembered how much fun it was, and often wondered if I did indeed have the correct mounts after several failed attempts, but after some percussion tuning with a 2x4 and swearing like a sailor, everything settled right where it should.

I'd recommend using the stock headers, ebay headers have given me a ton of hell man. Vibrating, making all kinds of noise, i hate them lol
