so what happens when you install a chip wrong..

Ive been working on a buddies m52 swap with obd1 with red label, well he installed his trm chip in the wrong orientation and we tryed to start the car. Well chip is installed properly and still not firing. DME damage? Chip cooking? Anyone in tacoma have a spare red label DME to let us barrow? Pm asap thank you

Not likely to damage anything. I would look elsewhere for the issue.
