Need help! How do I Drain Coolant?

My radiator busted the other week and I'm in the process of replacing the radiator and changing the coolant. So when I removed the busted M42 radiator I just pulled all the hoses off and let the coolant leak out. I replaced my radiator with another M42 and thought I could just add coolant and that's it. I bought two gallons of the blue BMW coolant and two gallons of distiller water. When I went to pour it in, it only took about a gallon of coolant mixed with water.

How do I drain the coolant completely (it's got the green coolant)?

    Thanks

Did you remove the vent plug on the top of the radiator right beside the filler cap?

There is a plug on the exhaust side of the block.

the drain plug is on the exhaust side of the engine, its that bolt that holds nothing on that side of the block. then blow some air through the system to get the rest of the green crap out

I'll take a look but honestly Im still learning engines in general. So that plug will drain all the coolant? I guess once it's all out I just screw it back on and proceed with filling up with new coolant, right? Thx

I think it is a 17mm. Its the bolt in this pic (shown just behind the o2 sensor) Up and towards the back from the motor mount arm.

Sorry don't know where I was going with that.

                    The drain should be 19mm.

19mm jammed behind the O2 sensor. It will puke coolant everywhere and make a mess, no way around it.
