No spark and no fuel...running out of ideas

Hey everybody, I've been trouble shooting my m50nv swap for a few weeks now.

It'll turn over, but it won't start. I know I've got the fuel lines hooked up right. If I hardwire the fuel pump relay I can get the fuel pump to run.

I've swapped the ECU, Crank and Cam Sensors, all three relays, and the whole engine wiring harness. I've tried swapping the plugs for the cam and crank sensors and that didn't work either. The only thing I can think of is a faulty wiring harness adapter.

What else could keep the fuel system and spark plugs from working?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here is my other thread. I figured I'd start a new one so I could update what I've tried so far.

It has to be the adapter. Post your pin connections and I'll take a look at it.

Mine started first try, apparently I'm good at wiring. However I'm a retard and put my clutch disc in backwards, so my advice isn't worth much. LOL

Looking for a clean e30 shell for a project.

Thats really what I'm thinking too. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Make sure you have power at pin 7 on c101. Also check power at the relays. If there's power to pin 7 and relays and your sensors are good it should start

I just remembered that I soldered some wires when I manual swapped my car a while back. It wouldn't start without these wires soldered together. I wonder if they pulled apart and that's whats keeping it from starting?

possibly, look at the wiring diagrams it tells you what components need power in order to start such as fuel pump spark and dme. pin 7 on c101 is dme and powers the main relay and fuel and spark i believe. check any and all cut re-sottered wires to rule out the obvious. get a good multimeter they are your best friend. Make sure motor is grounded properly as well

My engine is grounded on the passengers side engine arm. Where else should it be grounded?

I was suspect of the old wiring harness so I swapped it out with another one from a parts car and saw no improvement. I figure this rules out the idea of cut or re-soldered wires.

How do I check a pin for voltage? Do i attach the multimeter and turn the engine over? Or can I just turn the car on?

Also, I checked the soldering I did for the manual swap and it still looks good.

I think we're onto something with checking for voltage going to the DME and relays, but I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to wiring.

Tomorrow I'm going to bribe one of the techs at work with a case of beer and see if he can get my car running. I need to get this thing on the road!
