I just thought I would post to see if anyone has any better suggestions as I try to figure this out with the wiring diagrams.
I put an s50 into a 91 325iA. 5speed swap on m20 was done by prior owner. S50 starts up and runs fine but the windows/sunroof and fan blower don't work and the brake lining light is lit. So I thought fine its either the 15 pin on the connectors or the black/green wire isn't connected correctly to starter. Checked all of that and it's correct. Then I thought maybe relays are bad, so I replaced K5 and K7 relays and still have the same problem. I've checked and rechecked the grounds.
I doubled checked to make sure the DME was grounded and it is. When working in glove box I found 2 connectors that had run to m20 wiring harness just before it connects to DME that I had forgot about. I know in earlier models this is needed for instruments and such. Mine is 91 and my tach etc works fine, not sure what they were for on my car (can't find them in ETM). I unexpectedly grounded one connector (wire that is green/black) and windows and blower started working with car running, but the brake lining light was still on. However, this blew the #10 fuse. I tried tracing #10 fuse and can't figure out why this wire would blow that fuse. I searched for fuse 10 issues and checked to make sure my reverse light wires aren't grounding on the body, they are fine.
I've got more ETM wiring diagrams to look at just thought I would check for opinions. Maybe something easy that I'm overlooking.
Thanks for any help/thoughts.
