    m50 head removal Q!!

Hey r3v, so i picked my m50 finally and im at the last stage of taking my head off! I took out the spark plugs, removed all 14 head bolts and then took out the front 2 mini torx bolts. Now im having trouble removing the head from the block.
The rear end of the head lifts up but the front wont budge. i looked everywhere and some people are saying theres another mini bolt but icant seem to find it anywhere.

    Any input? Thanks alot guys!

There are about 3 or 4 small torx bolts at the front of the head that go into the front timing cover. One of the bolts goes through the upper chain guide if i remember correctly.

I assume you disassembled the chain sprockets right?

Stop prying on the head! EEK!

3 total bolts in the front of the head. One left, one right, one on center. All E-torx. All fun.

You will need a deep well torx to get the last one out, it is on the timing cover in front of the cam tensioner.
