Trent, you're crazy. That block alone runs about $2000 from the dealer, pistons included (but that's all). $1200 for a low mileage one seems like a good deal. Has a nice crank too ;)

Yea, I know the price...but when I was really looking i found low mileagers from 400-600. I guess I should have bought one, but I thought that was too much!

Where did you find prices that good?

I still am considering the block, but I'm afraid it's going to get expensive when I start getting 'nickle and dimed' from having to buy all the sensors, accessories, and ecu seperately. So far I have no other parts for my M5X swap other than a M20 flywheel (that's in my car)
San Diego BMW repair -> Jake @ www.littlecarshop.com Great guy

Man, that was just me making some calls to junkyards not even as a shop. It will get expensive when you goto get oil pan etc etc. The expensive part of these engines is the head, not the bottom end!

Its an auction so high bid wins. If you are really interested in it we could probably split the cost since I want the interior and suspension stuff. I am going to probably go down there and take a look at it once the time comes.
