    M50 engine block identification, Please help!

    I got a free M50 block complete with pistons,crank,rods, etc. I am trying to identify it between M50nv and an M50tu. The code is:

    35750481
    25 6S 2

    So the engine code may tell me if its a TU or not right?

    I know the 3 = M50 (in this case) 575 = production # 0 = Munich plant

    but the 481 is supposed to be the production date... I cant figure out how to tell the date built yet... so no help with that code until I can figure out the production date. Do any of you know?

    The other code.
    25 = 2.5L
    6 = # of cylinders
    S = ????
    2 = ????

    Can anyone help me please.

      the top number you posted doesn't mean anything. if you write it in the format its on the block (should be three lines stacked) i might be able to help you out.
