    Quick question, needs quick answer.

If I run a M50TU bottom end in a NV block and NV head...

Can I run a reground cam at S50 specs on the intake without having to worry about the vanos flat headed pistons interfering with the valves?

I only ask because I know that there are differences in the rods and the NV pistons are dished.

Pretty sure you're going to run into issues due to the 5mm difference in rods. I can't remember off the top of my head if the NV head's deck height will make up for it though.

    I found this though:

If it's only a .5 bump in compression you might be okay. I'd suggest just getting a schrick intake cam and swapping the intake to the exhaust. That's the safe route IMO. The valve reliefs in the vanos pistons may grant you clearance as well.

I guess I'm pretty much speaking in hypotheticals here.

Pretty decent info here for strictly NV motors, but I haven't seen any one complaining about valve clearances on any NVheaded-M50tus

Thanks danny, after reading all that I may just go NV Intake cam to exhaust and S50 exhaust to intake.
