Hey guys,
Couple of questions:
1. How difficult is it to remove the sump from an E34 525i? Does the engine need to be lifted or can it be done from underneath like the lower part of an M42 sump in an E30?
2. Those who have had M50 B25s and M50TU B25s, please chime in on how the two compare at a driver's point of view. I've heard the NV motors are more rev happy due to the 240 degree cam but is the VANOS motor really that much better? It seems like theres a lot of changes like the thinner valve stems, single valve spring, longer rod, 228 cam and VANOS but whats the seat-of-the-pants feeling? Fuel consumption between both would be nice to know as well!
I'm sure these topics have been covered before but I did a quick search and could not find anything, don't have time to venture through threads as we're heading to the wreckers tomorrow to raid a crashed 525i M50!
Cheers.
