    Fan/rad setup

ive been reading over a few of the threads here and got advice from one or two guys as well.

here is what i currently have available to me:

old M42/44 rad. from previously m44 swap.

im swapping in an m52 motor. what would be suggested for a fan/rad setup? i wont be tracking this car. it will be driven in the spring/summer/fall. its been suggested to me to get an m50 rad w/ a single fan setup, or getting a 325i rad and some type of fan. and then plumbing the motor with the m50/s50 cooling hoses.

looking to stay on the cheaper side of things while still keep my motor properly cooled.

Im using the m42 radiator and the aux fan for the ac in front of the radiator. I have an m52 and use it the way you will be using yours.

Do you plan on keeping ac or no? I'm running generally the same but I actually am running a e38 750i aux fan with some custom fab work. I still haven't driven it on the street but I'm confident it will be ok for now unitl ac goes back in in the coming months. The 750i aux fan is a two speed and connects exactly like the stock fan does but you have to switch two pins to get the low/high settings to work properly.

no a/c for sure, no sense in hooking it up. in the 10 cars ive had, only 3 (maybe) 4 have had working a/c. id rather drive with the windows down anyways......;)
