    Wiring

Well first of all...just to clarify...I am going to try and use the harness from the m20 engine and then put all the wires from the e36 engine harness into that and just connect it right onto the m20 body harness (the one coming out of what looks to b the fuse box). Is this all right to do? Just to make sure...and if so does anyone have a picture of a deciphered e36 engine harness. I have one for the m20 but not the e36 one. All help is greatly appreciated.

Um... if I'm understanding you correctly, no.

You're going to need the full M50 engine harness. Follow AKG's pin chart.
There is only one splice point with only a few wires to connect.

yeah, that is not going to work. Not to mention that an m50 harness has about 2x the volume of an m20 harness

Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about:

This harness coming out of the e30 body.

And I need to connect it to this harness coming off of the m50 wiring harness correct?

Those two have to go together somehow right?

                lol dude...

You need the body side of the e36 harness... Basically what you have in picture one, but from an e36.

Take your m20 wiring harness, and cut the connector off that plugs into the plug you have in picture one.

Solder the corresponding wires together based on AKG's website.

You now have the wiring bridge. It shouldnt take more than an hour.
