e30 m52 swap EWS II problem

need some help with my m52 swap,
I am down to the wireing, but I have a small problem I am keeping the EWSII for $$$ reasons, I wired up the engine but the EWS is still not working been over the wires 4 times, every thing seems to be in order but still no crank.

here is how I wired it

    Main EWS II 61.35-4 4 146 047

    1 BLK/Yellow to starter
2 White/purple to it's brother on the connector
3 blk/green to the ignition key
    4 green to DME
    5 red/ yellow to continus 12V
    6 none
    7 brown to ground
12 black to pin 20 on the connector also black
    13 light blue to transmiter
    I am left with 8 black/green - ?
    14 blue/red/yellow - ???
    12 Black - ??? speed input I think

    EWS transmiter

1 to 13 on the main EWS
    2 to +12V acc on
    3 to ground

Please help cant seem to start the car tryed every thing that I can think of

Do you hear a click on the EWS box when you turn the key to position 2 (run not start)?

What do you mean by no crank? Does the engine turn over? EWS II does not prevent the engine from cranking over, it just prevents it from starting. If you engine doesn't crank, it's not EWS II related.

First off, you don't need that many wires hooked up. The diagram below shows the minimum you need to get EWS II working. This is exactly how mine it hooked up and I don't have any issues.

For the main pin 5 to continuous +12V, what rated fuse are you using? The system is VERY sensitive to the correct fuse ratings. Make sure you wire in the correct fuse for each +12V wire. As the diagram shows, pin 5 needs a 5A fuse, and pin 2 on the transmitter needs a 7A fuse. Wire these in and see if it will start.

I dont have any fuse it's rigged directly to the ignition wires, is it posible i burned the EWS because I did not use a fuse, please tell me how can I check if the EWS is OK

I did some checking, antena gives ma a reading of 4v, is it normal ?

I didn't fuse mine and it ran fine for 5 years.

As Gobuffs asked earlier, does the EWS box click when you turn the key to position 2? You should be able to hear the click and actually feel it if you hold the box in your hand.
