    s50 intake boot silicone?

Anybody used either of these on an s50 with any successful gain? I need to replace my boot and thought I'd try this instead of the stock boot.

    1990 S50 goodness.

smonkbmw and vanwestervelt have used them. I think they just hold your MAF up and let you use a 3 inch one really

more air is useless without more gas

    Please leave feedback below, thanks

Not for $90. I was going to get the Bimmerworld silicone boot, until I saw the price on them.

You can DIY one up pretty easily, it just won't have the Crank vent and ICV tubes preformed into the tube
I made one but I don't like how it turned out or that the stupid tube is blue in an otherwise black engine bay.

You can buy 3"-3.5" or 3"-3" 90* silicone elbows from www.siliconeintakes.com

If you take two minutes to read like I did not you will see that you can also purchase them in black. Lol. It's much cheaper than $90 and works fine.

You'll just have to silicone in some plastic plumbing elbows or something. Not a big deal really, hell all the under the intake hoses I got with my engine used those stupid barbed plastic elbows actually. I'm just glad I can't see them when I open the hood or I would probably lose it.

No I thought it looked hideous and didn't want any evidence of it. Lol. You can't see any of it when it is installed in the engine bay everything comes out the bottom.

            Here's the original thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...ne+intake+boot

No pictures in it either though.

I have a bimmerworld 3.5 boot (reduced) with a 540 3.5 maf, 3.5 elbow and 3.5 AEM filter that I would sell, all Tbolt clamed and perfect fit on a swapped car, maybe 1k on the whole setup. If you are interested.
