    Motor mounts?

When swapping the S50 into the e30 I was wondering why M5 or e28 motor mounts are suggested. Do they provide the S50 to clear the hood? Or do they give the oil pan more ground clearance? Any idea?

    Thanks George

thye work and are reversible so they go into the subframe like stock. Not only that but the M30 mounts are a bit beefier. For a bit of extra clearance you can mismatch the mounts too.

With the M5 I6 mounts the engine doesnt move when you rev it in the car, the car itself leans.
        Im now E30less.
