Good deal on E34 for m50 swap? (SF Bay)

1991 525i. owner says 65K on replaced motor passed smog a few months ago. replaced all cooling components..... BAD transmission. i think i can talk him down to 700-750.

Should i jump on this? BTW I'm pretty sure the guy will not have proof of mileage on the motor. should i just do a simple compression test?

What do you think?
