hey-
was wondering if this was possible:
was comparing flywheels between S52 and E24 633CSi and realized that:
starter teeth pattern is identical between s52 and M30 flywheel.
from comparing flywheels, M30 crankshaft is same bolt pattern and spacing as S52/M50 family; even the larger keyhole of the two flywheels are in the same spot.
s52 clutch is 240mm unsprung
M30 clutch is 240mm sprung
from uuc's s52 clutch kit; we know that the friction disc of e34m5 is sprung and works with the zfsg320 5mt s52 transmission.
I have a 240mm e34M5 sprung friction disc; im guessing its similar to the OEM 633csi unit. it also fits perfect in m30 flywheel space for it.
now I just need a M30 single mass pressure plate, and then I should be able to test it out - see if a m30 single mass clutch set will bolt up to a m50 family engine+ ZFsg320 transmission and engage / disengage; I have both loose and pedal hydrolics I could hook up
