    318is s50 exhaust/muffler

I'm on my on getting an exhaust system for my 318is with a s50.
I'm thinking of using these mufflers and using the stock piping for now.
What you guys think? Will this setup be to loud?

I using trying to go with this route.
    s50>ebay headers>stock piping>borla 40980 muffler>stock piping>vibrant 1149 muffler

    Vibrant 1149 muffler

I had basically the exact same set-up on my s52 car. Sounds awesome! :D

Took me a while to get the sound I wanted, but I always had the Vibrant at the end. They are loud mufflers, but worth it for the sound you get. No drone, and they scream up top!

You should just go single 2.5", it will flow better, be lighter, and make your life a lot easier.

Here are some clips: (my Vibrant was the same, except it was stainless)

We can build your exhaust for you at the shop since you're in SoCal. Click the link in my sig for more info.

You want to use the 318is piping? That's like 2.25" max, probably not an ideal size for the S50. Do yourself a favor and just get something custom made, forget using the stock 318is exhaust piping.

Actually it's more like 1 3/4", which will be WAY too restrictive. Don't cheap out on exhaust, it'll be another $100 for a properly piped, single 2.5".

^ Yeah, I got this idea from you actually, love the sound on your car.
How much would you charge for a setup if I bring those two mufflers?

Are you guys using stock/aftermarket cats? I'm thinking of going with the center muffler but don't know if I should add a cat in the front.
