    Power Steering Installation

    Got a PS Pump and have no idea what im doing.
    Anybody have any tips or things i should know.
    I guess i have the general idea, I just need a little help.

    Ummm attach your hoses to it, the rack and the reservoir :roll: Some bending may be required although I can say that I got mine to fit without having to bend anything.

    The large low pres line from the res goes to the pump, the small high pres hose from the pump goes to the rack and the large low pres hose from the rack goes back to the res.

    Use all new crush washers and if you feel like spending money get a new high pressure hose, they are expensive though.

      Well i only have the large low pres line which sucks cause i was told it was complete.
      Where can i pick up the other lines?

        Are the e30 pumps bigger than the e36 pumps?
        Mine seems big.
        Sorry for the noobish questions. Gotta start somewhere.

              im not sure what exactly you are unsure of?

              M20 pump wont work on an M50

                Im just unsure of what pump i have. I was told it was for an m50 but the spindle looks too big. How would i be able to tell.
