Argh - so which starter do I use here, M50TU w/ 325E trans? I have three.

I don't really know which starter to use. This setup is an M50TU block, a 325E transmission (getrag), and a 325i M20 single mass flywheel and clutch. So what starter do I go with? I have ordered what I think is a later E30 325i starter, but it looks just like the other starter I have off the E30 325E to be honest. I also have an M50TU starter and that has a larger spur gear and more electrical connections. Hrm.

Yes, except the middle one and left one came from a 325E and a 325I. The 325E has a dual mass flywheel, and I am using a 325I flywheel (single mass). So, the two look identical... yet are supposed to not be interchangeable. I can't tell which one is an E or I starter... so is there a difference?

The I starter (should) have 3 terminals as the E36 one should, the E should only have 2.

Top pic is: early "i" , Eta, e36.

Since that "i" starter is an early one its the same as the eta one basically.
