Help! E36 driveshaft won't fit my g240 guibo

I got the car running and was about to bolt the driveshaft on to the guibo and noticed that the bolts that came with the E36 driveshaft are 12mm in diameter and my 318is uses 10mm ones. What do you guys do to make this work? I am hesitant to use the e30 ones since they will move around in the driveshaft flange...

    Thanks

what e36 did the drive shaft come from?

IIRC the m3 came with the 12mm, whereas the 325 had 10mm

I was told it was off of 325i.

I believe you need to use an E36 guibo.

If I use the e36 guibo, holes will be correct to the drive shaft but g240 output output flange hole will be 10mm and guibo will have play. I will have same exact problem but on the otherside of guibo, no?
Should I just change the output flange to an e36 one? or use the 10mm bolts with some kind of sleeves instead??

I have the same setup as you, g240 to an e36 325 driveshaft. For the life of me, I can't remember what I did when I hooked them up. I'll jack up my car when I get home and take a look. I'm fairly certain I used the 318is guibo though.

You are correct. I wasn't thinking. Why can't you use the E30 driveshaft with the 240?

The e30 318is driveshaft is too long. Apparently the e30 325i driveshaft will also work, but I can't verify this.
