You can use the M50 fan clutch but it'll be close. 1/8 of an inch or so. Just make sure your motor mounts are solider and the radiator is secure. Otherwise wiring in an electric pusher or puller fan works. I recommend the pusher fan mounted in front.Need a part? PM me.

It'll be a head ache to get the M50 clutch fan going. It's REALLY close. I don't know if I have pictures of before I removed mine off the S50 but I'm seriously not embellishing at all when I say an 1/8 of an inch or less to your radiator. Hard breaking and a faulty or slightly worn motor mount and you're looking at a new rad.Need a part? PM me.

the guy who installed the m50 in my car wired the new aux fan into the original wiring for the AC Aux fan, so it comes on when I press the AC button.

Thats the setup I have. works ok. Want to install cooler thermostat just so that i can feel comfortable. Seeing that needle rise make me cringe!!!Comment

mine only rises if i'm stuck in slow bumper to bumper traffic for extended periods of time. pop the aux fan on, comes back down almost instantly.

You want the diesel fan. It has a ring around the outside, so it won't come apart if it touches anything. It uses the M50 clutch.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

If I do a push fan I want it to automatically come on. I don't want to worry about watching the needle all the time.

Looking at the wiring diagram the aux fan should come on with or without the a/c on. With the a/c button depressed the low speed fan is kicked on regardless of the coolant temp. I would suggest getting the lower temp switch from an e36 318 with an m44 engine, it switches at 80/88* instead of the stock e30's 90/99. I'm going to be running this setup in the summer I'll let you know how it goes.
