what to do with two small coolant hoses and intake sensor?

E34 airbox had some sort of sensor and two coolant hoses going from it to TB. Any idea what it's for and do I have to keep it or any way to bypass it? I've searched and couldn't find any good and clear info on this. Thanks

Most people bypass it. Pretty sure its what lets coolant go to the TB when its cold out. You can just run the lines straight to the TB without that sensor.

yes, its a thermostat that opens and closes that passage to the TB when the ambient air temp is cold(no idea what temp). I ran my lines straight to the TB bypassing the valve

Technically you could mount it anywhere in the engine bay and it will work, but it adds clutter.

I just left the sensor and tucked it under the intake manifold

If you were in the south i would say bypass it and the TB completely but since your in de norf i would just delete the sensor and run it straight to the TB.

Thanks for all of your reply's... I got it. But...
Would this mod change performance since temp of TB would be different? Which way is better performance wise, running it with sensor hooked up and tucked somewhere or just looping the hose without it. Or there would be no difference? Thanks
