OBD1 M52 Running RICH, BITCH!

    From memory, I believe the car may have been running rich due to knock generated by lifters not getting enough oil pressure due to the pickup tube on the oil pump not having the gasket properly seated on it. The current owner is probably much more familiar with this than I am.

          Reading above, the OP sold the car. The new owner, never replied back.

          For me, I finally got it running right. I had a hose collapsing from the CCV(valve), and then I had to get my coolant temp signal sent to the ecu and the cluster. Now the car runs so much better.
