I am about to do an M50 Vanos swap into my 87 Eta. It came to mind today that an M50 would probably rev a lot higher than an M20B27, and my tach would run out of room. I checked Turner's website and with a Turner Chip, the M50 revs to 7K. My tach runs out at 5K. So, what have other Eta to M50 swap guys done about the tach? How hard would it to be to swap in an "i" instrument cluster with a tach that goes to 7K? Any advice or input on the issue would be appreciated.

Run an entire "i" cluster if you can. It's far easier than trying to get the Tach from an "i" or 318 into the "e" cluster and working properly.Need a part? PM me.

Sorry to hijack...
Is there any way to swap the tach an early motometer cluster? I bought a late 7k motometer tack recently and it didn't work with the early cluster.-Brandon
