    So, what am I missing?

So I was given a 9/93 325is with 189k autotragic that has a dead tranny. The PO took reasonably good care of it. It leaks oil at the housing like normal but runs really well. I am debating doing a complete rebuild before swapping into my car as well as the normal timing components and attention to the cooling system.

My question, am I correct in assuming that I am pretty much set in having everything I will need for the swap by having the complete car minus the brake components, oil pan and pump, motor mounts, tranny mounts, throttle cable and harness connector from E30 body to E36 engine?

Is the rear end (diff) able to be swapped as well?

Not easily, stick with the e30 diff
