S54 Oil Filter Housing - Can I swap Vanos Line?

I bought an S54 housing to replace my stock M50 housing so that I could run the oil lines to my oil cooler.

Since I'm using the S54 housing the threads for the oil pressure sensor and vanos line are exactly the same. Would there be any issues with swapping the two?

I'm trying to run a distribution block like this:

The vanos line is preventing me from installing the distribution block.

    Here's a pic for reference:

Help! First person to give me a legit response will get a free rub and tug ;)

    *EDIT*

Done. I had to trim the alternator duct to get the lines to fit...sucks but thats the deal.

Looks much better, and now you'll have feedback on how your oil cooler is doing. I had to trim my alternator cooling duct as well. (or buy an s54 alternator $$$) As for switching the lines it should be no problem.

VDO does make a 2 pole pressure gauge sender that's M12x1.5 with a pole for the gauge (0-150 PSI) and a pole for the warning light (@7 psi) that may eliminate the need for a distribution block for some people. It's PN 360-024 in case anyone else wants to run a pressure gauge on the euro/s54 oil filter housing.

Also, the VDO 300 degree oil temp sender that's M12x1.5 is PN 323-092 and it can be used in place of the factory oil drain plug in case you only want to check oil temperature temporarily as well, or used with an adapter such as the one turner motorsports sells that installs the sender in place of the oil level sensor.

Yeh, definitely an improvement over the IE cap man. LOL When I was mounting the alternator I was like why the hell isn't this thing lining up!?!?@! Then I realized it was the duct for the alternator. Felt a bit stupid lol.

I did some quick temp measurements, built in t-stat definitely works. At the housing it was around 100 degrees meanwhile oil cooler was hanging out at 65. I think the t-stat opens around 120 degrees or so not sure...

I have both the pressure sender and the t-stat for oil, I'd rather not wait until the low oil pressure warning comes on. I want to keep an eye on the pressure at a glance as well as the oil temps.

I ordered IE's oil cooler to replace my earl's 25 row because the placement is not ideal. The IE one should mount up in the stock location and provide better flow thus keeping temps down. I **hope** it does the job. This track season I just don't want to worry about temps as much as I did last year! I want to concentrate on having FUN!!
