Which OEM shift linkage for m50/g240?

I've searched, and searched... and searched... but haven't found anything conclusive yet.

For an m50 mated to a g240, which OEM shift selector rod/shift linkage works? I know you can shorten the 318i one, I've already done so - but if there is one, I would like an OEM fitment piece. I've heard that maybe the euro 320i might work. Can anyone help me out?

I used the stock g240 shifter linkage, works great.

the stock g240 selector rod, off of an m42/g240 1991 318i is far too long to fit between a longer m50/g240 and the shift tunnel opening. What wizardry are you working that makes it magically fit?

Cut/weld both in the center. I have pics somewhere but I can't find them.

            *sigh*

I put a piece of aluminum rod in the middle of mine with the idea to keep it straight and more sturdy, but cut it about 1.5 mm too short, and now it rattles like shit. I DONT want to have to do another because I dont have a grinder/any welding equipment and it would be far easier - if there is just a part that fits.

I have the M3 linkage I'll sell to you brand new. People say that works perfect. Although it did not work for me.

Use the e30 320i shift linkage, it's a 6 cylinder motor fitted with a g240, look up the part number on realoem.
