    pedal swap problem...

    hello i have quick ? i have a 91 325i it is AT im thinking about doing a m52 swap ..i was told that since i have an air bag and my car is At i will have to find peddles that are from a 5sp with an air bag because the car wont start is this true..i need to know what to do im ready to start buying thing for my swap ..im going to look at a few motors today..

      your pedal box has the place to mount the master cylinder to. you just need to remove the bolt that your brake pedal hinges around and replace the pedals with clutch and (smaller) brake pedal. shoot me a pm I know I have the pedals, may have some hydraulics stuff too

        i did a 5 speed swap on my car. the only thing that will keep the car from starting is the neutral safety switch. i dont remember what color the wires are but i think they are green and they go to the automatic shifter

            You can use non airbag pedals too, just swap the actual pedals in to your box. Running non airbag pedals leaves you with no clutch return spring but I had no issues like this. The car not starting will involve bypassing the neutral safety switch as mentioned above.
