Where to buy urethane E28 M5 or 535i motor mounts???

Does anyone know where to buy urethane E28 M5 motor mounts? I want them for my M52B28 conversion.

    Cheers!

    Drew.

Hi again guys...I'm still a set or urethane motor mounts for my M52 swap in the E30. For us right hand drive car owners, urethane is neccessary to stop the exhaust manifold hitting the steering knuckle. Hence, I'm pretty keen on finding either the E28 M5 or 535i mounts in urethane.

sorry, dont know of anyone selling urethane m5 motor mounts....however....you may wan to consider going another route. bm auto engineering in australia uses headers to get past the steering knuckle on right hand drive e30's. were you using the cast headers? you may consider modifying the m52 tube headers for clearance. just a thought. cheers, jason

A custom exhaust is a must on the RHD cars. A friend who's just finished his swap had custom extractors made, however they went on the engine side of the knuckle...not over the knuckle and down between the guard and the knuckle. Not the best solution it seems. However urethane mounts would solve the problem. Even the extractors on my brother's RHD E30 M20 Alpina have to go over the knuckle. My main concern at this point is I don't know how I'll go with my modified knuckle (E36 rack conversion). It's actually larger than the stock one.

I'll investigate the extractor routing closer when the engine's in the car, but I have the opportunity to pick some parts from over in the USA, so I was hoping to get some urethane whilst I can get it cheap!

just a thought.....you might be able to find some urethane e30 (318is m42) motor mounts. oddly enough they appear to have the same center offset as the e28m5 units, but dont have the tab and are about 1/2" shorter. cheers, jason
