Almost done with my M50 swap, the engine cranks over and everything is good so far. My friend has a virtually identical swap, so I'm using his fuse box harness adapter from his M50. Problem is, when I connect the battery, the cluster lights are ALWAYS on, and when I use the same harness on his car, his cluster lights aren't ways on. His car's an 89 and mine's an 88 if that helps.

Are your engines from identical cars? etc tec.
You should really make the harness yourself, using wiring diagrams from YOUR car, and the car yo got the motor from.
edit: and what happened to the "m20 love" you had? Sold out to an m50 pretty fucking quickly...Do you brag to teh laddies about your engine swap now?

Originally posted by EduardoGomez View PostYou probably connected one of the ground wires from the M50 harness to the positive. That will result in dash always on. If that is the case, most likely MAF is damaged.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+

The car works completely now, but why would you say the MAF is damaged cause of it? How can I check?Originally posted by blunttechAlways Always go for the reach around if there is an option
