so im trying to finish the oil pan swap and would like to get some info on the old mount for the original oil pickup. It obviously has to come off to fit the new e34 oil pan, what needs to be done about removing the two bolts that hold it on. they are the bolts for the camshaft and i am trying to figure out if these need to be torqued to a specific level and specific angle. I cant really find the information anywhere. thanks for the help.

Meaning you torque them once, they strech to their yeild point (where metal is its strongest) and hold. Once you remove them they will never be that strong again. Head bolts are torque to yeild as well. Dont reuse them. Buy new bolts if you do pull the maincap off.

The bolts are stretched past their yield point when you torque them and "may or may not" return to their original dimension when loosened.
