    Raceland 4 Piece Headers

I know there is a million threads on headers but none call out the 4 piece ones.

My cast exhaust manifold is missing a stud so I figured might as well get these cheap headers. While I know the collectors on these things are crap it seems like a better choice then fixing the stud on the heavy cast ones I have.

Anyone try these on their swap?

Seem to be better construction then the US Supersprint knock offs.

For anyone who has actually used these please let us know how they fit and what modifications if any were needed.

    Thanks,
    -Kev

I have those raceland ones and yes they are better than the supersprint ones. They clear the subframe better but require treehouse racing CABs. They are also much less raspy too.

I'm using the ones in the above picture. They fit well with the THR control arm mounts. I haven't noticed how close I am to the subframe, but I think my mounts are only shimmed up about .25".

Well, I have the crappy knock offs, and my mounts arn't shimmed at all, and they clear everything. The one pipe is admitidly to close to the bottom of the car. Thankfully theres a heatshield there, but i'll probably bend it down a little in the future anyway.

24V M50, M3 cams, Turner Tune, full exhaust, ect....

Thanks for all the response so far. Using the treehouse CAB's seems to be a given with these. Sounds like these maybe the easiest of the aftermarket headers to fit.

Well the Supersprint headers can use stock cabs but I do not recomend using those headers.

Thanks all for the quick response. Seems like these are tried and true.

Clearly. That's why he said you have to use the Treehouse Racing mounts.

I have a set of those supersprint knock off headers that i got with my car (not installed yet) and was wondering why its not a good idea to use them?

They arnt the worst but there are better options out there. The main reasons I did not like them is they have subframe clearence issues and they are very thin so they are raspy.

If you are 24V, they hang pretty low and they can be raspy.

If you decide you want to change and yours are the 24V version, I am looking for a set of the long tube type..

Well, typically around $100 plus shipping is a going rate. I will buy the cheaper painted ones if I buy new, I want to try some "anti-rasp" ideas.

If you do decide you wanna dump them, I will do $100 cash and come pick them up.

I looked at my 4 piece Racelands last night, and they clear the subframe by a mile. If anything they're close to the firewall, but not touching.
