    Good foundation for S/C S52 e30?

As some of you may know, I have been having a unique issue with my OBD1 3.2 liter e30. The top end has been completely rebuilt as well as the vanos. That leaves the mystery of the bottom end. I was thinking of just getting a cheap 2.8 liter short block and boring it to fit the s52 pistons while keeping my s52 crank. however, if I want to go s/c or turbo in the future, is it necessary to upgrade the pistons and rods to low compression? Or can the stock stuff handle enough power. I honestly dont feel the need to go past 400hp like some guys; even 350hp is good for me. I want a well balanced e30.

is there something wrong with the current 3.2L bottom end? if your goals are sub 400rwhp and your current stock bottom end is healthy, you shouldn't even need to touch the bottom end or even head gasket. Just run it stock and bolt on a quality turbo kit/supercharger solution

s52's are boosted all day long in STOCK FORM happily :)
