Spal Puller into a Pusher?

I have a spal 16" i picked up to install on the front of the radiator. I guess i made the mistake and bought a puller and not a pusher

i picked it up used locally. I switched the polarity and it Pushed air instead of pulled it but the air flow wasnt as strong as it was when it was a Puller. Would it be ok to run it Reversed anyway or should i just sell it and pick up a Pusher?

I think just switching the polarity won't work as well because of the blade design. However I think some people use pushers and some use pullers, personal preference. I could be wrong but I remember reading that somewhere so you might be okay. Can anyone clarify?
