    M50 Oil Pan Verification

I need to replace the pan on my m50 swap, found this one on ebay for not to bad of a price, but It looks like It doesn't have the baffle in it. Do they bolt in so I can take mine from my bad pan, and this IS an m50 pan right, the description left a good amount to be desired.

    Thanks guys!

Don't buy it. Not an m50 pan. M50 has one sharp corner. That one has 4 rounded. The e34 pans I've seen also have the oil level sensor on the bottom.

Yeah looking at it I'm guessing it's an m20 pan

Still dont know how to identify which oil pan is currently on my M50.......
Still dont know if I need to switch my motor mount arms or not, I heard both ways.....
And few other real specific things I cant think of right now

here is a pic I made in MS paint to help you

the e34 pan has a front sump, and the e36 has a rear sump ( which is basically where the oil sits, and where the pump picks it up from)

Also you need e36 motor mount arms, they look like these

            Please leave feedback below, thanks

Yeah, the pan on that Ebay link is definitely an E34 M20 pan, not gonna work for you.

I've got a good E34 M50 pan FS- PM me if you still need one.

              ;)

I dont think it would have mattered, my pan was pretty much sitting on the plate, Its taken many many hits but I came right down on it and the pan had no where to go

I got my E34 pan froma junk yard. I looked it up online at car-part.com, called the place and they shipped it that day, a few days later i had it. Done, and didnt have to get up.
I dont remember what I paid, but It wasnt to much, or I wouldn't have bought it.......
