    MAF Code

Alright, here is the deal. I came here cause Bimmerforums sucks and R3vers always get me answers.

97 M3. Its throwing a MAF code (P0101 I think). Now when you unplug the harness from the MAF the ecu is supposed to go into safe mode and run the fueling off of a stock preprogrammed safe log, taking the MAF and its problem completely out of the picture.

But, when I do unplug the harness, the random stalling and jerking while driving does not go away. Which makes me not want to buy another euro MAF to find out that that isnt the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas? The ECU has the larger MAF tune programmed on it, by AA. I am getting fed up, and the car is going to be sold in the near future and I dont want the problem to get dumped onto someone else.

    TIA

    It's a vacuum leak.

I have removed the intake manifold and completely redone the whole vacuum system.

Would old fuel injector o rings cause a vacuum leak?
