E30 or E36 aluminum shift arm?

Noob here again. I have the early style getrag with the steel plate that holds the shift rod. Should I use the E30 aluminum arm or the E36 with my S50 and Zf320? And from there I would order the appropriate mounting bushing for the back end.

Just went through this with my s52/ZF320 swap on my car. The stock e30 arm is a bit too short, and the one from the ZF320 puts it off-center of the hole in the trans tunnel. I wound up using an early e46 shift carrier. It does have to be shortened but it centers the shifter better. Shown here with part of the the UUC SSK
